Karen Hedberg

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Karen graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2012 with BSc (Hons) first class honours in Physiotherapy. 

Originally from Dollar, central Scotland, Karen moved to Aberdeen to train as a Physiotherapist and loved all the area had to offer. After graduating in 2012 she worked for NHS Grampian gaining experience in a wide range of specialities including musculoskeletal, neurology, respiratory, trauma, elective orthopaedics, general medicine, surgical and community rehabilitation before specialising in musculoskeletal conditions in 2016.

Karen is committed to achieving the best results for her patients through a person centred approach to achieve their goals.

Karen’s unique blend of knowledge throughout a multitude of sports and understanding of health and wellness and movement enables her to effectively treat patients from various backgrounds. Karen also holds qualifications in personal training, sports massage, taping and Pilates to complement rehabilitation programs.

Outwith work you’ll find Karen engaging in a wide range of sports and activities including running, golf, gym exercise, skiing, tennis, paddle-boarding, hill walking and more! Most recently Karen has turned her focus to running and has completed marathons and an ultra-marathon. As a previous member of the Scottish Alpine Ski Team and fully qualified ski instructor with subsequent knee injuries Karen understands the demands of training and rehabilitation to an elite level but also finds great satisfaction in working with patients to reach their full potential in any patients individual goals.
